The Inn at Point Lookout has been a landmark in the Catskill Mountains for over 70 years. On a clear day the panoramic view from this location encompasses the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts, the Helderberg Mountains of New York and the Connecticut Valley. The Inn is internationally known for the spectacular 5-state view. Located 1900 feet above sea level, this spot has long been a resting place for travelers. In the 1920s, an entrepreneur built the first Point Lookout, only open during the summer. The Inn at Point Lookout is perfectly situated as a premiere restaurant, catering and events facility. The kitchen was designed by a graduated chef of Johnson & Wales Culinary Institute and was completely overhauled and fitted with new plumbing, refrigeration, sinks and more. Occupancy is 105 in main dining room allowing room for a DJ and dance floor. Total capacity for restaurant level and bar area including catering room is 217 people according to Durham Code Enforcement. Lower level is massive lending itself for an additional event space. The Catskills are a destination for event goers, corporate retreats, weddings and large family gatherings. This timeless beauty is awaiting a renaissance!
